Xfinity App not working on Firestick I have a couple of TVs with Amazon Firesticks for streaming. As of October 2025 (probably after software updates), the Xfinity Stream app does not work anymore. For live channels, the app keeps buffering and does not show any content.

For recordings, it does not play any of them. Xfinity app on Amazon firestick, channels CNN & Fox news don't play issue started this afternoon (6/19/25) has been working w/o issue all along before this afternoon. running Xfinity app on a Amazon fire stick not on my home network. All other channels I tried that are labeled "TV GO" channels work.

By chance have you tried the Xfinity Stream app on any other devices to see if you get a connection error? Xfinity Stream & FireStick Closed Caption Settings The closed caption (CC) toggle in this environment is easy. Simply pause the program; in the lower right corner is an OPTIONS icon of 3-parallel lines. Select that icon and de-select the CC setting. Resume play.
